What toxic metals are in vapes?

Nickel

Acetaldehyde

Acrolein

Acrolein is used in herbicides to kill weeds and is found in gasoline, diesel fuel, and car exhaust. Acrolein can irritate your skin, eyes, and nasal passage.

Benzene

Benzene is found in cigarette smoke, car exhaust, crude oil, gasoline, glues, paints, and detergents. It can cause vomiting, stomach irritation, dizziness, sleepiness, convulsions, rapid or irregular heartbeat, and at very high levels, even death.

Diacetyl

Diacetyl is a chemical used to flavor food. When inhaled, it has been linked to a lung disease called popcorn lung.

Diethylene glycol

Diethylene glycol is used in antifreeze and is linked to lung diseases.

Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde is a chemical used to preserve dead bodies. It can irritate your eyes, nose, and throat, and is also known to cause cancer.
